What's new in Squidler

Your agent now works in Spiris

Spiris, formerly Visma eEkonomi, joins Fortnox, Bokio and Oqto as the fourth Swedish accounting system a Squidler agent can connect to. Three areas, read and write kept apart, and Spiris enforces your choice as well as we do.

Spiris Bokföring & Fakturering, formerly Visma eEkonomi, is the fourth accounting system a Squidler agent can work in.

Squidler agents can now connect to Spiris, the accounting system many still know as Visma eEkonomi or Visma Spcs, alongside Fortnox, Bokio and Oqto. If your books live in Spiris Bokföring & Fakturering, your agent can read them and, where you allow it, work in them: answer questions about invoices, vouchers and balances, keep an eye on what is unpaid, draft customer invoices, register supplier invoices with their receipts, and pull the material for month-end and year-end, SIE export included.

The questions are the ones you would ask a colleague who has the books open. "Which customers are over thirty days late?" "What did we pay that supplier this year?" "Is the VAT report for the quarter ready?" The answer comes with the numbers behind it, on whichever channel you asked: Slack, Teams, Telegram, email or the web.

Which invoices are unpaid, asked in Swedish against our Spiris sandbox company. The agent offers a reminder; nothing goes out until you say so.

Three areas, and Spiris holds the line too

Spiris groups its data into three areas, and so do we: Sales, Bookkeeping and Purchasing. For each one you choose off, read-only or writable, per company.

Those choices are not only rules on our side. Spiris keeps read and write apart in its own permissions, so a read-only area is one the connection was never given write access to, and Spiris itself refuses a write there. Our check runs first and stops the request before it leaves Squidler, but it is no longer the only thing between the agent and your books. Narrowing an area takes effect immediately; widening one means approving the company again at Spiris.

One connected company, with each of the three areas set to read-only or writable.

The same rules as before

The agent proposes before it acts. A customer invoice is prepared as a draft, with the PDF exactly as the customer would see it, and is only booked or sent when you say so. A supplier invoice is registered with its receipt attached and an account coding suggested, and left for you to approve.

Some things Spiris allows cannot be undone: voiding an invoice, importing an SIE file, changing opening balances, deleting a customer or a supplier. The agent is refused those unless you have asked for exactly that, and your instruction is written to the audit trail. Everything it does in the books is logged, and you can disconnect at any time.

An accounting bureau connects one client company per ledger and gives each exactly the access that client agreed to, as with the other three.

How to get it

Spiris is available to every agent now. In Spiris, switch on the Spiris Integration module for the company, under Fler funktioner in the menu. Then open Settings → Integrations → Spiris on your agent, choose the areas, sign in to Spiris and pick the company, done. The Spiris integration page has the full walkthrough.

Fortnox, Bokio and Oqto are unchanged, and they are all the same kind of colleague: not a bookkeeping robot, but someone who already knows the context because you have been talking to it all week, and who can now check.
