What's new in Squidler
Your agent now works in Oqto
September 24, 2026 · 3 min read
Oqto joins Fortnox and Bokio as the third Swedish accounting system a Squidler agent can connect to. Same rules as before, one nice difference, and a page for each integration.
Squidler agents can now connect to Oqto, alongside Fortnox and Bokio. If your books live in Oqto, your agent can read them and, where you allow it, work in them: answer questions about vouchers and invoices, keep an eye on what is unpaid, prepare supplier invoices from the inbox with a coding based on how you booked that supplier before, and pull the material for month-end and year-end, SIE export included.
The questions are the ones you would ask a colleague who has the books open. "Is last month fully booked?" "Which customers are over thirty days late?" "What did we invoice in March?" The answer comes with the numbers behind it, on whichever channel you asked: Slack, Teams, Telegram, email or the web.
Connect once, decide per agent
Oqto's model turned out to be the nicest of the three to work with, and it shows in the settings.
A company authorizes Squidler once, in Oqto. From then on, which parts of the company each agent may reach is decided in Squidler, per agent: one agent may see supplier invoices and nothing else, another the whole ledger. Each agent's access is minted per company from exactly the areas you picked, so a narrower choice really is a narrower key, not just a rule we enforce. Changing the areas is one click and takes effect immediately, with no new approval at Oqto.
The same rules as before
Everything starts read-only. You turn write on per area, and the agent is refused anything outside that before the request ever leaves Squidler. It proposes a booking before it makes one, with the amount, the account and the period, and books only after you say yes. Everything it does in the books is logged, and you can disconnect at any time.
An accounting bureau connects one client company per ledger and gives each exactly the access that client agreed to, as with Fortnox and Bokio.
A page for each integration, and one link to connect
Each accounting integration now has a public page of its own, under Integrations on the site, with what the agent does, how access works and how to connect. And there is now one address that opens a provider's settings on whichever agent you last had open, so a link from Oqto's own integration listing, or from a colleague, takes you straight to the right place.
How to get it
Oqto support is new and we are enabling it for customers one by one. Write to info@squidler.io and we switch it on for your agent. Then it is Settings → Integrations → Oqto, pick the areas, approve at Oqto, done.
Fortnox and Bokio are unchanged, and they are all the same kind of colleague: not a bookkeeping robot, but someone who already knows the context because you have been talking to it all week, and who can now check.
